A sea of filth lies beneath my feet
Lapping at my ankles, screaming for recognition
A million faces looking up from the abyss
I tell myself I won't become another hollowed husk
A stench like death, but filled with life
It destroys everything to assuage its saprophytic lust
It pulls you under, assimilates you into its festering mass
Lost to anonymity
The sludge seeps inside
Flowing through my blood vessels like a lethal dose of cyanide
First comes formication, and to my horror
The subcutaneous insects breed and multiply
A stench like death, but filled with life
It destroys everything to assuage its saprophytic lust
It pulls you under, assimilates you into its festering mass
Lost to anonymity
Eternal oppression: the cost of life
Making you beg and plead to deafened ears
Until your throat tears and bleeds
Your body is its throne
Left hollowed to the bone
Nowhere to run as it feasts on you
Rats devour the rotting corpses, sustained by the pestilent mush
And every single bone, picked clean
Their hard white edges glisten in a sea of brown sludge
And every single bone, picked clean
We cannot escape from
Their saprophytic lust
A stench like death, but filled with life
It destroys everything to assuage its saprophytic lust
It pulls you under, assimilates you into its festering mass
Lost to anonymity

Eternal oppression: the cost of life
A world of garbage, society of waste
Left to revel in the atrocity they have created
Your body is its throne
Left hollowed to the bone

I love Aepoch's style of death metal: technical, groovy, and pulverizing at the same time. Vocals sound unique for once (seriously, I've never heard anything like it. It's original for sure as it sounds otherworldly). Expect great things from this band. A Canadian gem for Prog/Death fans. Christopher
